About this product

Gua sha is a 2,000-year-old technique. The stone is the tool. What matters is the edge geometry and the material — both affect how the tool moves across skin and how it holds temperature.

Why rose quartz. Rose quartz is a hard stone (Mohs 7) that polishes to a smooth, non-porous surface — important because a porous stone harbours bacteria. It holds a slight coolness at room temperature that most people find pleasant for morning use. It is not magic. It is a well-suited material for the application.

The edges. This stone has four distinct working edges: a long flat edge for broad strokes across the cheek and jaw, a concave notch for the neck, a pointed end for the undereye and orbital bone, and a curved heel for the brow and forehead. Each has a purpose. The included technique card shows exactly which edge to use where and in which direction — based on lymphatic drainage anatomy, not guesswork.

How to use it. Apply 3–4 drops of face oil or a thin layer of serum first. Use gentle, upward strokes with 200–300g of pressure — less than you think. 5 minutes per side, morning or evening. Clean the stone with warm water and a drop of castile soap after each use. Store dry.

Genuine rose quartz. 7cm × 4.5cm. Comes in a cotton pouch with printed technique card.
